New Burma Camp facilities to boost GAF readiness
The Ghanaian government has commissioned new infrastructure at Burma Camp to improve the living and working conditions of the Ghana Armed Forces. The project includes new accommodation, office complexes, and specialized training facilities for military personnel.

Accra, Aug. 5, GNA – Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, Acting Minister for Defence, has reaffirmed Government’s commitment to modernising military infrastructure to improve the welfare and operational readiness of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
He said the completion of new accommodation, office and training facilities at Burma Camp reflected Government’s resolve to provide military personnel with infrastructure that supported operational efficiency and improved living and working conditions.
Dr Forson gave the assurance on Wednesday at the commissioning of the Butler Barracks accommodation and office complex, the Central Ordnance Depot Headquarters, the School of Ordnance and new facilities for the Ghana Armed Forces Central Band and Music School at Burma Camp in Accra.
The facilities comprise accommodation blocks, office complexes, classrooms, rehearsal halls and welfare amenities for the beneficiary units.
