Netflix has cancelled ranching drama Ransom Canyon after two seasons.

The series, which is based on Jodi Thomas’s novels and stars stars Josh Duhamel as Staten Kirkland and Minka Kelly as Quinn O'Grady, follows the relationships, rivalries and family conflicts among the residents in a small town in Texas.

Just months after the series aired its second season on 23 July, the show has been axed, Deadline reports.

Following modest viewership for season 1, Netflix gave the drama a shorter episode order and changed several members of the cast for season 2 in an attempt to shake things up.
