Petecio dropped a unanimous decision loss to Yang, who used her height and reach advantage to frustrate the two-time Olympic medalist and secure a spot in the semifinals.

The Filipino struggled to close the distance against the taller Chinese, who consistently found openings with well-timed counters whenever Petecio tried to press the action.
