Neki – Sharded Postgres
PlanetScale has launched Neki, a new sharded Postgres database platform designed to handle massive workloads. It allows users to scale Postgres across multiple machines while maintaining standard wire protocol compatibility and existing PlanetScale features.
Why it matters
This addresses the common technical bottleneck of scaling single-machine Postgres databases for high-traffic enterprise applications.

Neki is now available in platform preview.
