Negeri Sembilan voters urged to return home for polls

The Negeri Sembilan Chinese Assembly Hall is urging voters to participate in the upcoming state election on August 1. The organization emphasizes that voters should evaluate the track records of previous governments to ensure better future governance and public oversight.
Why it matters
Encouraging voter turnout is critical for the democratic process in Malaysia, particularly in state-level elections that impact local infrastructure and public services.
The Negeri Sembilan Chinese Assembly Hall said voters should make their choice after assessing the performances of the previous state governments.
PETALING JAYA: The Negeri Sembilan Chinese Assembly Hall (NSCAH) has urged all eligible voters, especially those working, studying or living outside the state, to return home to vote in the Aug 1 election.
It said the election was not merely about choosing new assemblymen, but about deciding the state's direction over the next five years, affecting areas such as the economy, jobs, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety, Oriental Daily reported.
NSCAH said the people had, over the past four years, personally experienced the state's development and changes, and would have their own assessment of the current and previous state governments' performance.
