This is thus a huge blow to India's medal hopes in javelin throw at the Asian Games, which was set for its 20th edition in Japan's Aichi-Nagoya. The 28-year-old had qualified for the Diamond League final after competing in just two qualifying events- the Doha and Lausanne Diamond League competitions. He also won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games with a throw of 85.83m.
