Ruling NDA MPs on Tuesday (August 11, 2026) held a protest outside the main entrance of Parliament against the “brutal” police action on job aspirants in Jharkhand and also against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly running away from a debate on student protests in different parts of the country.
The MPs marched from the Parliament Library towards the main entrance of the House, ‘Makar Dwar’, and raised slogans like “Rahul Gandhi Jawab Do” and “Rahul Gandhi Bhago Maat” among others.

On Monday (August 10, 2026), the government had announced a debate on student protests in various parts of the country by Home Minister Amit Shah.
However, Mr. Gandhi said the country is not interested in mR. Shah's opinion in Parliament on "general topics" and wants to know if he ordered firing of pellet guns at protesting students.
