The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has raided the Garki market in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), confiscating several cartons and bags of suspected pirated literary works worth about Seven Million Naira (N7 Million). The seizure was made on Friday 4 September 2026 during an anti-piracy operation carried out at an outlet in Garki Market as part of the commission’s clampdown on piracy, Mrs. Ijeoma Egbunike, Director Public Affairs, NCC said in a statement on Saturday, 5 September 2026. The operation, according to a statement was carried out by the Commission’s enforcement team led by the Director of Operations, Mr. Femi Ajala, with the support of armed police personnels from the FCT Command.
