Members of the Navya Andhra Teachers’ Association on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) said that the claim made by a section of employee and teacher union leaders regarding the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) not yet being constituted in Andhra Pradesh, which was cited as a reason for the delay in announcing Interim Relief (IR), was incorrect.
In a statement, the association’s State president K. Harikrishna and general secretary M. Srinivasa Rao stated that through G.O. Ms. No. 68, issued on July 12, 2023, the State government had officially constituted the 12th Pay Revision Commission and appointed former IAS officer Manmohan Singh as the Pay Revision Commissioner and also specified the terms of reference for the Commission. Subsequently, through G.O. Ms. No. 21, dated February 22, 2024, the government issued orders providing the staff and administrative arrangements required for the functioning of the 12th Pay Revision Commission.
