Navy launches ASW shallow watercraft Machilipatnam at Cochin shipyard

The Indian Navy has launched the 'Machilipatnam', the seventh of eight planned Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Watercraft. Built by Cochin Shipyard Limited, the vessel is designed for coastal surveillance and anti-submarine operations as part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
