Napier launches a 5pm ‘Clock Off Club’ for under-40s
A new initiative called 'Clock Off Club' has launched in Napier, New Zealand, to help young professionals under 40 build social connections. The program aims to foster community and retain talent in the Hawke's Bay region.

A new Napier initiative, Next Gen, has created a potential new 5pm Friday tradition for under-40s called the Clock Off Club.
Created to build connections, bring fresh energy into the city and give people opportunities, it offers a chance to get together at local venues from 5pm on Fridays.
Tradies, hairdressers, baristas, creatives, healthcare workers, business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and everyone in between are welcome.
Napier City Business Inc general manager Pip Thompson said the initiative grew from conversations about how Napier could better connect its next generation and create the social energy that makes people want to stay in or return to Hawke’s Bay.
