Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away on Thursday at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa, was accorded a state funeral in recognition of his contribution to theatre and cinema. His mortal remains have now been brought to Donje in Pune, where his last rites will be performed, and several celebrities and prominent personalities have begun arriving to pay their final respects.Nana Patekar suffered a cardiac arrest at his Goa residence and was given continuous CPR for around 45 minutes. He died at 5:20 am. His son, Malhar, confirmed the news to The Indian Express and said, “Yes, the information is true. I am in Pune right now and reaching Goa. I will come up with detailed statement. He died due to natural reasons."
