Namma Metro records highest daily ridership of August with over 11.19 lakh boardings

Namma Metro recorded its highest daily ridership of the month on Monday, August 10, with 11,19,815 passengers boarding, according to data released by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Tuesday.
The ridership figures were released a day after the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) flagged concerns over lower-than-projected ridership and performance in the first two phases of the Bengaluru Metro project.
Of the total boardings recorded on Monday, the Purple Line (Line 1) accounted for the highest share with 4,66,371 boardings, followed by the Green Line (Line 2) with 2,85,499. The Yellow Line (Line 3) recorded 92,838 boardings, while 2,75,107 were recorded as interchange passengers. The total stood at 11,19,815 boardings for the day.
