The city police’s Namma 112 Emergency Response System played a crucial role in two separate incidents on July 10, leading to the safe rescue of six schoolboys who had planned to travel to Delhi to join cricket coaching without informing parents and the reunion of a missing child to his family.
In the first incident, at around 10.40 a.m., the management of Jnanadeepa Bhargavi School in Allalasandra, in the limits of the Yelahanka Police Station, alerted the Namma 112 helpline after six class 8 students failed to report to school.
The Namma 112 control room immediately alerted Hoysala. Personnel reached the school within five minutes. During the inquiry, a classmate informed teachers that the boys had planned to travel to Delhi for cricket training.
