Nambeshe appointed NUP acting Party President

John Baptist Nambeshe has been appointed as the acting president of Uganda's National Unity Platform (NUP) party. He replaces Dr. Lina Waru Zedriga, who served in the role for four months while party leader Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, has been abroad.

Nambeshe is a member of Parliament for Manjiya County, Bududa district, and is currently serving as the Chief Whip of the opposition and Deputy President of NUP in charge of the Eastern Region.
