Naidu to meet Modi in Delhi, seek approval for Visakhapatnam Metro Rail and Beach Corridor

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers during his two-day visit to New Delhi from Wednesday (October 7, 2026) to seek the Centre’s approval for the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail project and the proposed Beach Corridor.
According to a press release issued by the State government, Mr. Naidu will meet the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and other Union Ministers.
During his meeting with Mr. Modi, the Chief Minister is expected to seek approval for the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail and Beach Corridor projects. He will also request the Prime Minister to initiate measures for taking up a river-linking project in Andhra Pradesh .
