Nagenthran urges Madurantakam electorate to think about horse trading and then vote
BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran has accused the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of engaging in horse trading regarding the resignation of a former AIADMK legislator in Madurantakam. Nagenthran also criticized Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay for his recent trip to London, questioning the necessity of the visit for business agreements.

BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran on Tuesday called upon the electorate in Madurantakam Assembly constituency to think about how much money would have been exchanged for former AIADMK legislator Maragatham Kumaravel to resign and join the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
“There has been horse trading here. How much money did the MLA get? If the person who was elected by you has resigned and is being fielded again as a candidate by the TVK, we have to think about how many crores of rupees were given by the TVK,” Mr. Nagenthran said.
The BJP leader was campaigning for the AIADMK candidate fielded for the Madurantakam bypoll. He also contended that the exchequer had to incur unnecessary expenditure due to the resignation of the legislator elected from Madurantakam constituency.
