Durban motorists, take note! Major N3 closure this weekend

SANRAL will fully close the N3 Eastbound carriageway at the EB Cloete Interchange (Spaghetti Junction) from 18:00 Saturday, 22 August → 18:00 Sunday, 23 August 2026

The closure is needed to move traffic onto the newly constructed Westbound lanes so construction teams can begin work on the new Eastbound lanes.

Important: The N3 is not closed all the way from Pietermaritzburg to Durban. The closure applies only within the EB Cloete Interchange.

Vehicles travelling Eastbound on the N3 will be unable to continue through the interchange towards Durban CBD.
