Mysuru voters drop by 5.57 lakh after SIR draft roll
Mysuru district has seen a significant decline of over 5.5 lakh voters following a special intensive revision of the electoral rolls. The reduction is attributed to the removal of duplicate, shifted, or deceased entries.

A staggering 5,57,241 voters have declined in Mysuru district following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), according to the draft electoral roll published on Monday.
The draft roll contains 22,42,452 electors, down from 27,99,693 recorded on June 16, 2026 - a decline of nearly 20%.
The draft roll comprises 10,98,058 male, 11,44,256 female and 138 third-gender electors, according to a press release issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mysuru.
The enumeration forms were distributed to all 27,99,693 electors in the district. Of these, 22,42,452 forms (80.10%) were digitised, while the remaining 5,57,241 electors were categorised as the Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead, and Others (ASDDO). The category covers electors reported as absent, shifted, dead, already enrolled/duplicate and other cases.
The sharpest decline was recorded in Narasimharaja Assembly constituency, where the electorate fell by 99,355, followed by Krishnaraja (86,801), Chamaraja (85,853) and Chamundeshwari (75,731), the release added.
