Mr. Gopal, 77, breathed his last at Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru. He leaves behind his wife Anasuya Gopal and daughter Mala.
Condoling Mr. Gopal’s death, Mysuru District Congress Committee President B. J. Vijaykumar said Mr. Gopal was a prominent figure in the Old Mysuru region, who was deeply rooted in public consciousness through his position in the literary field for the last 40 years.
