My suspension from YSRCP is unfair, says former Nellimarla MLA

Former Nellimarla MLA Baddukonda Appala Naidu has challenged his suspension from the YSR Congress Party, claiming it was unjustified. He argued that his family ties to members of opposing parties should not be grounds for political disciplinary action.
Why it matters
The dispute highlights internal political tensions and the complexities of party loyalty within the Andhra Pradesh political landscape.
Former Nellimarla MLA Baddukonda Appala Naidu on Saturday alleged that YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had suspended him without valid reason and claimed that he had been misled by several persons who were responsible for the party’s defeat in the 2024 Assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Appala Naidu said his brother-in-law Majji Srinivasa Rao joining the Telugu Desam Party should not be a reason for his suspension, as family members could choose different political parties for their political careers.
