My party will protect self-respect of ‘original Reddys’, says Vijaya Sai Reddy
Former Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy on Friday announced he would soon float a new political party to protect the “self-respect of the original Reddy community in Andhra Pradesh,” while respecting all castes and religions.
Addressing the media here during his district tour, Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy said his party flag would be hoisted on the auspicious ‘Ekadashi’ day after the Vijaya Dasami festival, marking its formation day.
The former MP demanded that the coalition government constitute a Reddy Corporation immediately. Targeting the leadership of the Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress Party (that he had represented in the Rajya Sabha), Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy alleged that “the two families have no love or concern for Rayalaseema, but are doing politics only for votes and power.”
