My husband and I originally connected through our mutual interest in wanting to help young people and teach. I now write full-time and love it, but he's still teaching and plans to do so for a few years. I can still relate to what he's going through at work, but I have more time for our joint endeavors. My husband and I met as teachers. When we were introduced, I instantly respected him. I was drawn to our shared desire to teach and help young people, and to our mutual love of all things related to English Language Arts. When we worked together, we maintained our professionalism and didn't even realize we liked each other until later.
