Musk claims Ukraine violated Starlink service agreement

Elon Musk stated that SpaceX restricted Ukraine's access to Starlink because the military used the service for offensive drone strikes, violating terms of service. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials confirmed that high-speed service has been restored.
Why it matters
The intersection of private technology companies and military operations in active conflict zones raises complex questions about corporate responsibility and geopolitical influence.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Saturday said the company restricted Ukraine's access to its high-speed technology because Kyiv violated Starlink's terms of service.
In a post on X , Musk said: "Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week."
He added: "SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR."
Ukraine officials said earlier in the day that SpaceX's Starlink and Starshield satellite communication systems had restored high-speed service, a day after they said the service remained throttled. Ukrainian official said the service disruption left the country vulnerable to Russian attacks.
