The official burial programme for the late Tooro King [Omukama] Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV will begin on Tuesday, with his remains expected to arrive in Uganda on Thursday as the government and Tooro Kingdom prepare for the monarch’s final rites.

Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President, Yunus Kakande, told Monitor on Monday that Cabinet would begin the burial programme on Tuesday, with the arrangements providing for the king’s remains to be formally received by President Museveni upon arrival in the country.
