Mumbai's luxury home market is having a record-breaking year. In just the first six months of 2026, buyers spent Rs 18,512 crore on homes priced at Rs 10 crore and above, pushing the city's luxury residential market to its highest-ever half-yearly transaction value, according to a report released on Thursday.The report by India Sotheby's International Realty and CRE Matrix showed that the luxury segment grew 12% over the corresponding period last year, when sales were valued at Rs 16,518 crore. It described the January-June 2026 performance as the highest half-yearly transaction value ever recorded in Mumbai's luxury residential market.The increase in transaction value was accompanied by stronger buying activity. A total of 957 luxury homes were sold during the first half of the year, compared with 761 units in the same period of 2025.Demand remained concentrated in a handful of established residential pockets.
