The Caswell County Sheriff's Office told Fox News Digital that four people were shot, three of whom were killed, including the suspect. The sheriff also described the shooting as a "domestic family event." The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation first said the Caswell County Sheriff's Office requested assistance "regarding an early morning mass shooting on Brooks Road in Prospect Hill, North Carolina." A Caswell County official later told WGHP that multiple people were killed in what's believed to be an isolated incident. At least one person was hospitalized, the official added. "Deputies arriving on scene found multiple people who had been shot. One person was transported to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound, and there are multiple other fatalities.
