Multiple arrests after bar fight on Auckland's K'Road

<p>Multiple people were arrested after police responded to a fight at a busy bar on Auckland's Karangahape Road last night. </p> <p>Police said officers were called to reports of fighting inside a bar — with about 500 patrons inside — on Karangahape Rd at around 12.30am. </p> <p>One person was arrested at that time. </p> <p>"A short time later, police were called again after reports of more fighting and bar management advised police they would be closing the bar," a police spokesperson said. </p> <p><b></b><a href="https://www.tvnz.co.nz/player/newsclip/watch-shoving-match-as-k-rd-bar-fight-spills-onto-street" target="_blank"><b>Shoving match as K Rd bar fight spills into street - watch on TVNZ+</b></a></p> <p>"There was already a significant number of pedestrians in the area around the bar and additional officers were brought in to manage the crowd as patrons left the bar when it closed." </p> <p>Seven people were arrested, however six of those were subsequently released without charge," police said. </p> <p>The remaining person was charged with assaulting police.</p>
