Big Ada, Aug. 08, GNA — MTN Ghana has donated GH¢30,000 in cash, GH¢2,000 worth of airtime and assorted drink hampers, to support activities marking the 89th Ada Asafotufiami Festival.
The donation, presented by Mr Francis Gyang, the Sales Manager for MTN’s Southeast Business District, reaffirmed the telecommunications company’s commitment to preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage and supporting traditional institutions.
Mr Gyang described the Asafotufiami Festival as more than a cultural celebration, saying it represented the history, resilience and unity of the Ada people while serving as a platform for tourism and community development.
He noted that the 89th edition was particularly significant, as it paved the way for next year’s landmark 90th anniversary celebration.
Mr Gyang said MTN Ghana was equally celebrating a milestone, marking 30 years of its operations in Ghana, making the occasion a convergence of two important anniversaries.
