Prefer the Guardian on Google Journalists from three US outlets were denied access to the White House grounds on Saturday morning a day after Donald Trump said he would ban them from the executive branch complex in a move that has prompted outrage and shock from free-speech advocates.

The outlets were television broadcasters MS Now and CNN as well as the political news website Politico.
