BHOPAL: A 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his 35-year-old wife in the gynaecology ward of Gwalior’s Kamla Raja Hospital on Wednesday after she delivered twins, including a son and a daughter. He was supposedly incensed at his wife for birthing a girl child, the woman’s family claimed.The attack was motivated by gender bias, the woman’s father alleged. He filed a formal police complaint demanding strict action against the accused. Cops launched an investigation.The woman had recently delivered twins via C-section. According to hospital sources, a fierce argument broke out between the couple when the husband came to visit her at the facility.
