MP inspects work of Science Centre in Shivamogga

B.Y. Raghavendra, Shivamogga MP, on Friday inspected the construction of the Science Centre coming up on a five-acre plot on the Sahyadri College campus here and expressed confidence that the structure would be ready for inauguration soon.
The centre, being developed at a cost of ₹12 crore, will include thematic galleries, equipment explaining different science concepts, and an auditorium.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Raghavendra said the objective of the centre was to inculcate interest among students in science, biodiversity, the solar system, and other subjects. “Students will get exposure to the practical application of the knowledge they acquire in classrooms,” he said.
