MP distributes CMRF cheques worth ₹15.80 lakh to 27 beneficiaries

Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat distributed financial aid from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to 27 beneficiaries to help cover medical expenses. The initiative aims to support low-income families facing financial distress due to health issues.
Why it matters
The event highlights the role of local representatives in facilitating government welfare schemes for healthcare access.
Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M. Sribharat on Tuesday distributed cheques sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to 27 beneficiaries, amounting to ₹15,79,894, at his office in Lawson’s Bay Colony.
Describing the fund as a source of support for families in financial difficulty, Mr. Sribharat said it ensured that the cost of medical treatment did not become an obstacle to accessing healthcare. The assistance, he said, would help poor and middle-income families meet medical expenses arising from illness.
“The objective is to ensure that families in distress receive the necessary support at the right time. We will continue to work towards helping eligible beneficiaries access government assistance, particularly when they face difficulties meeting medical expenses,” he said.
