Mourinho warns Real Madrid dressing room against complacency: ‘We have to go out to win’
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has warned his squad against complacency following their recent victory over Barcelona. He is emphasizing the need for continued intensity as the team prepares for a challenging run of away fixtures in La Liga.
Why it matters
Maintaining momentum is crucial for top-tier football clubs competing for league titles.
Real Madrid's victory over Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday has changed the mood around the club.
Jose Mourinho's side are now just three points behind their biggest rivals in La Liga . Los Blancos outplayed Barça on the night.
However, the Portuguese manager is keen to ensure the celebrations at the Camp Nou do not lead to complacency going forward.
According to Tomas Gonzalez-Martin of El Debate , Mourinho has repeatedly warned his players about Sunday's visit to Racing Santander.
The manager wants his team to maintain the same intensity against Racing that helped them overcome Barcelona.
"We have to go out to win and give everything," Mourinho has told his squad.
Doing the difficult job of winning at the Camp Nou only to drop points at El Sardinero would be the worst possible outcome for Real Madrid.
