Mountain of forms pending processing

Authorities in the state are struggling to process over 750,000 voter registration and objection forms ahead of the deadline. The backlog has sparked political controversy, with allegations of mass voter deletion attempts using Form 7.

With the period of filing claims and objections ending on October 7, the authorities are grappling with a mountain of forms that are pending processing.
According to data, as many as 7,56,180 Form 6, Form 6A, Form 7, and Form 8 are yet to be processed in the State.
Official data show that as many as 27,555 Form 7 were pending processing. Of these, as many as 5,077, the highest number, was from Hyderabad district, 3,090 in Sangareddy district, 1,498 in Nizamabad district, and 1,331 in Rangareddy district.
The alleged misuse of Form 7 caused controversy with instances of attempts to mass delete electors from the list being reported in Musheerabad and Goshamahal.
