Motorcyclist (60s) dies in Donegal crash while moped rider hospitalised after Cork hit-and-run
A motorcyclist in his 60s died in a collision in County Donegal, while a separate hit-and-run in Cork left a moped rider hospitalized. These incidents contribute to a rising number of road fatalities in Ireland, which is currently 12% higher than at this time last year.

A motorcyclist in his 60s was killed in a crash with a car in Co Donegal shortly before rush-hour on Friday.
The crash took place on the N56 at Termon at approximately 4.30pm.
The motorcyclist received treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital and a postmortem is set to take place.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital with non-serious injuries.
The N56 was closed on Friday evening for a forensic examination by Garda technical staff with local diversions put in place.
Witnesses to the incident, those who may have relevant dashcam footage, and drivers who were on the N56 between the Lagoon Restaurant & Guesthouse and Creeslough in the hour surrounding the crash have been asked to contact gardaí.
