A motorcyclist in his 40s has died following a collision with a car in Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow. Gardaí are currently investigating the incident and have requested dash cam footage from the public.

A motorcyclist in his 40s has died after a collision in Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow this morning.
The incident involving a motorcycle and a car happened at around 9.30am on the R448 at Ballyknockan.
The man was airlifted to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The road was closed for forensic examination but has since reopened.
