A motorcyclist in his 30s died following a collision with a car near Glengarriff in West Cork, Ireland. Gardaí have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage from the N71 area.

A motorcyclist has died following a collision outside Glengarriff in West Cork.
The man aged in his 30’s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision occurred between the motorcyclist and a car at the tunnel outside Glengarriff at approximately 2.55 pm on Thursday.
Gardaí and emergency services were at the scene on the N71 at the Caha Pass, Co Cork, on Thursday.
The road was closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, which has been completed and has now reopened.
The deceased man's body has been removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
No other injuries were reported at the time.
