Motor racing ace Jagat Nanjappa no more
Renowned Indian motorsport personality Maletira Jagat Nanjappa has passed away at the age of 68. A pioneer in the Indian racing circuit, he was celebrated for his contributions to the sport alongside his wife, Anita Nanjappa.

Maletira Jagat Nanjappa, motorsport personality who made a mark on the Indian racing circuit, passed away in Mysuru on Sunday. He was 68.
A native of Nalvathoklu in Virajpet taluk of Kodagu, Nanjappa is survived by his wife Anita Nanjappa. His mortal remains were taken to his native place and kept at his residence, where relatives, friends, well-wishers and motorsport enthusiasts gathered to pay their last respects.
Nanjappa and Anita were prominent figures in the Indian racing circuit during the 1980s and 1990s. The couple participated in numerous motorcycle and car rallies across the country and earned several accolades.
