Mother of baby murdered in Omitara speaks out

A nine-month-old baby was tragically murdered in the Omitara settlement of Namibia after being abducted from her home. Family members discovered the infant's body in a nearby bush after following footprints and finding evidence of foul play.

THE small settlement of Omitara in the Omaheke Region has been left with more questions than answers following the murder of a nine-month-old baby who was discovered on Saturday morning.
Imelda #Nuses explained that her daughter, Namtani Loretta #Nuses, was taken from bed while she had been sleeping next to her four-year-old brother, and added that she is yet to come to terms with the tragedy.
#Nuses explained that she had returned home around 22:00 on Friday night, and had woken up around 04:00 to have a smoke but did not have a lighter and subsequently went to a neighbour’s home to get one. She added that when she returned a few minutes later, her baby girl was not there.
After this, she added that she went to the neighbours’ homes and frantically searched for her baby.
