A 45-year-old mother and her 23-year-old daughter were killed after a two-wheeler they were travelling in collided with a private school bus near Kilambakkam in Chengalpattu district on Wednesday.
The Tambaram police said Devi and her daughter Swathi were residents of the Urban Habitat Development Board housing complex in Keerapakkam, near Kilambakkam. On Wednesday morning, they were going for personal work in Urapakkam, with Swathi driving the vehicle, while her mother, Devi, on pillion.
