Police have called off the search for a baby believed to have been murdered by his mother in SA's South East, after receiving expert advice the child could not have survived.
They have also revealed the boy's mother, who was found dead with her daughter in waters off Port MacDonnell on Monday, attended a police station the previous day.
Police say the matter is the subject of a coronial investigation.
