Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Kondapalli Srinivas has called for more women to take up entrepreneurship to ensure an inclusive economy growth at the desired pace.

Participating as the chief guest in an MSME Growth Workshop jointly organised by NTR District Industries Centre (DIC) and and India SME Forum on Wednesday, Mr. Srinivas said the main objective of the conference was to encourage youth, women and Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) members to become entrepreneurs, in line with the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘One Family, One Entrepreneur’ slogan.

The Minister said ​that MSMEs contribute about 30% to the country’s GDP and generate over 50% of employment. To promote entrepreneurship, an MSME park was being established in every constituency.

Nineteen such parks have already been launched, while work on the another 138 parks were in progress, he said.
