Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma, South Coast Railway (SoCR) General Manager Sandeep Mathur and Tadepalligudem MLA Bolisetti Srinivas inspected the Tadepalligudem railway station on Friday to review modernisation works in West Godavari district. Vijayawada Railway Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonkia was also present.

The railways has sanctioned ₹45 crore for the development of the Tadepalligudem railway station. It includes a Road Under Bridge (RUB) and improved road connectivity to the station under the AMRUT Bharat Station Scheme.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Mr. Srinivas Varma said that a request had been made on Friday for halting the Vande Bharat Express and Garib Rath Express trains at Tadepalligudem.
