More than 14 phones recovered as police arrest seven in Kampala

Police in Kampala have arrested seven suspects during an operation targeting alleged robbers, burglars and phone snatchers in Kinawataka and surrounding areas.

The operation was conducted on Wednesday, September 23, by officers from Jinja Road Division through Kinawataka Police, covering Kinawataka, Kalerwe and Central zones in Mbuya One Parish, Nakawa Division.

Police said the operation followed information about a group of suspected criminals allegedly involved in robberies, burglaries, housebreaking and phone snatching in the area.

Among those arrested are Edward Kyabagu, alias Zagga, 28, George Kutosi, alias Kiwuka or Virus, 26, Ronald Kajura, Godwin Muzaale, Bengo Arafat, Samuel Boyi and James Odomel Victor, alias Oundo.

Police said the suspects are being investigated in connection with a robbery case registered at Kinawataka Police Station.
