BHAYANDER: The Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation on Wednesday cancelled the construction permission granted to Seven Eleven company, days after BJP MLA Narendra Mehta announced that his company would relinquish possession of the disputed land following the matter being taken up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.In another development, additional tehsildar Nilesh Gaund allowed a petition filed by 81-year-old Asgarali Vohra and ruled against Seven Eleven and other respondents. The order is expected to clear the way for Vohra’s name to be entered in the land records for the property currently in the possession of Seven Eleven, which had fenced off the plot with metal sheets.Vohra had alleged that Mehta and Swayam Builders had illegally encroached on the land at Navghar in Bhayander.
