More rains predicted in Delhi, IMD issues yellow alert

More rains are predicted in Delhi for Wednesday (July 29, 2026), after a day of heavy rains triggered waterlogging in streets and several neighbourhoods. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the day.
Light to moderate rainfall is likely at different hours of the day at isolated places across the city. The IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky.
Relative humidity was recorded at 92% at 8.30 a.m.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 32℃ and minimum temperature settled at 25.7 ℃, 1.6 notches below normal.
Station wise data showed that the minimum temperature was 24.4℃ at Palam, 2.7 notches below normal; 25.2℃ at Lodhi Road, 0.8 notch below normal; 22.5℃ at Ridge, three notches below normal; and 24.4℃ at Ayanagar, 1.6 notches below normal.
