The Aeronautical Development Agency has extended the submission deadline for one of India's most closely watched defence programmes, giving industry bidders two additional months to file their proposals for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft. The revised deadline is now October 30, pushed back from the original August 27 cutoff, with bids scheduled to be formally opened a day later, on October 31.The tender, floated in May this year for a programme valued at around Rs 15,000 crore, invited private industry to compete for the role of Development-cum-Production Partner on India's indigenous fifth-generation stealth fighter.
