Two unidentified persons hurled two Molotov cocktails at a Tasmac outlet at Gorimedu in Salem early on Sunday (June 7) morning, according to police. The outlet was closed on Saturday night after business hours. The empty paper boxes in front of the shop caught fire in the attack, and locals alerted the Fire and Rescue Service. Liquor bottles in the shop were not damaged. On information, the Kannankurichi police arrived at the spot and checked the CCTV camera footage in the shop. The footage reportedly showed the persons throwing the Molotov cocktails at the shop. An investigation is under way.
