NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in coordination with the ministry of external affairs (MEA), ministry of home affairs (MHA) and Punjab Police, has secured the extradition of Red Notice subject Amritpal Singh alias Gurpal Singh from Moldova to India, the agency said.Singh is wanted in multiple serious criminal cases in Punjab, including double murder using firearms and offences under the Arms Act and NDPS Act. His criminal antecedents also include cases related to forgery, cheating, use of forged documents and violations of the Passport Act, according to the CBI.Arrest in Moldova after Interpol Red NoticeThe extradition followed a request from Punjab Police, after which the CBI secured an Interpol Red Notice against Singh.
